Martyn Cook, Chairperson of the Campaign for Socialism said: .

“We have a cracking night lined up; Poetry and politics, laughter,
music and rabble rousing. It’s all about taking the message of
Labour’s manifesto forward.  Showing that there is an alternative to
tory austerity and nationalist managerialism, and have some fun as we
do it”

One of the performers. Singer - songwriter Declan Welsh said:

"Theelection of Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the labour party was a
vital moment in UK politics. A man who has fought his whole life for
socialism and justice galvanised the young and the disenfranchised. He
represents the best electoral option in my lifetime.

The best thing is that he knows he isn't the answer. He's a man who's
understood that a party should be about its members, a movement about
the people involved, and a country for the many. I'm proud to play
this event because I want to see a fairer society, and Jeremy Corbyn's
labour party represents the best chance of that happening."
